A work in progress by Slingsby Theatre Company

Join Slingsby’s journey of creating The Tree of Light and follow their path to making their most ambitious project. Over the next three years, Slingsby is creating a new flat-pack theatre to travel the world sustainably with a triptych of plays under the banner of A Concise Compendium of Wonder.

Adelaide Festival audiences are invited to experience this work-in-progress with a development performance of the first of these works, The Tree of Light. Written by acclaimed author Ceridwen Dovey, The Tree of Light is a radical reimagining of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Match Girl for family audiences and young people.
